Beng graduated with honours from Melbourne University Dental School and has completed a Graduate Diploma in Dental implants. He has a passion for bringing the science and art of all aspects of general dentistry together.

He treats all his patients like his family and would only provide the type of dental care he deems good enough for his family, trying to make sure all his patients walk out of the practice with a huge smile.

Despite working across a range of demographics across Victoria, he has always maintained Geelong as his home.

Using Geelong as a base, he worked a few years in Colac before settling down in Geelong. Tempted by the excitement of metropolitan Melbourne life, he had a go at working in Melbourne. But the Geelong lifestyle was too good to turn down, so he decided to settle down in Geelong for good and became Principal dentist for this practice.

Su graduated from Melbourne University in 2013, with a Bachelor of Dental Science. Prior to that she grew up in Malaysia. Now living locally, Su has joined the team at Family Dental Care where she offers both General Dentistry and Orthodontic treatment. Su is known for her gentle and sweet nature, patients often remark on Su's ability to deliver complex treatment in a calm and methodical manner. Su enjoys having a career that enables her to not only interact with people from all walks of life, but to actively foster a nurturing relationship with her patients, particularly those with dental related anxiety. Excellent with children, and those who feel more at ease in a tranquil, low-key atmosphere, Su is the perfect choice for all your Dental needs.

Outside of the Dental practice, Dr Tay loves attending local events, frequenting farmers markets and travelling around Australia.

Jessica graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Doctor of Dental Medicine in 2016. Before joining the team at Geelong Family Dental, she had worked in the inner and northern suburbs of Melbourne. Dr. Jess centers her treatment philosophy around prevention and lifelong quality dentistry, with an emphasis on holistic care to help maintain your smile for life.

Dr.Jess understands the anxiety that many people associate with dental care, and ensures a warm and relaxing environment for all her patients. She believes care should be catered to the individual and enjoys working to achieve dental goals,whether they be health related, functional or cosmetic. Dr. Jess provides experience in a comprehensive range of treatments including implants and extractions.

In her spare time Jessica enjoys exploring restaurants and cafes with her husband Dan and taking her young son Hezi on play dates with friends and family. She’s a lifelong Western Bulldogs supporter, a BBQ chef of some repute and would never say no to a nice slice of Brie.

Dr. Gaurav Malhotra graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Melbourne. Prior to joining Geelong Family Dental, he enjoyed his time working across the regional towns of Parkes (NSW) and Warrnambool (VIC).

Gaurav is interested in all aspects of general dentistry, but especially in saving teeth with endodontics (root canal treatment) and restorative (crowns, bridges). He also has a keen interest in minimally invasive and aesthetic dentistry (veneers, teeth whitening). He enjoys seeing his patient’s confidence improve with a new smile! 

Whilst working, Gaurav maintains a reassuring, calm manner. Outside of dentistry, he likes to travel with his wife and also is a passionate cricket enthusiast!

Dr. Jacquilyn Torrisi graduated from James Cook University in 2013. Following her graduation, Jacquilyn practiced in Brisbane, gaining extensive experience in general dentistry. In 2023, she moved to the Surf Coast with her young family, a transition she has embraced wholeheartedly.

Dr. Jacquilyn firmly believes that oral health is fundamental to overall well-being. She is deeply committed to delivering high-quality dental care, with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and individualized care. Dr Jacquilyn is known for her gentle and empathetic nature, making her patients feel at ease in the dental chair. 

Outside the clinic, Jacquilyn enjoys outdoor activities and time with friends and family, alongside her passion for a good cup of coffee. Her Italian heritage has been fundamental in her love for food and cooking and she can often be found in the kitchen making her famous home made spaghetti.

Patricia graduated from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Dental Medicine. She has worked in Sydney, regional NSWand Melbourne, prior to joining Geelong Family Dental Care team.

Patricia strongly believes in the preventative aspect of dentistry and is passionate about empowering her patients with the knowledge and guidance to look after their oral health as an essential part of their overall health and wellbeing.

Known for her warm and gentle manner,Patricia helps many nervous patients feel at ease during treatment. She enjoys taking the time to get to know you and your dental goals: from as simple as maintaining healthy teeth and gum for life, to transforming your smile through orthodontic treatment and cosmetic dentistry.

Patricia’s interests outside of dentistry include sewing, dancing, and learning new languages.

Dr Kim graduated from La Trobe University with a Master of Dentistry. She has worked in various regional Victorian towns in both the private and public sectors before settling in Geelong.

Kim strives to provide excellent care and thorough treatment for her patients. Her philosophy focuses on balancing the harmony between health, function and aesthetic. She is committed to upskilling herself in all aspects of dentistry via continuing education to provide the best care to her patients. 

Her warm and caring approach creates a welcoming atmosphere in her practice, where patients feel at ease and well taken care of, especially with patients who are more dentally anxious. She loves getting to know you, “never treat a stranger!” She listens to all of your concerns and ensures that you are well-informed throughout your dental journey. 

When the loupes are off, Kim loves reconnecting with nature, going on hikes, basking on the beach and traveling.

Jessica has worked in the Dental industry for over 10 years. Qualifying in 2008 as a Dental assistant from RMIT, Melbourne. In recent years Jessica has moved away from nursing and into practice Management/Administration. Attending many courses and training sessions, Jessica is equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and can confidently and accurately assist you with all of your dental enquiries.  Many who know Jessica remark on her friendly and personable nature. She will make you feel at ease, from your first phone call to our practice, to your regular exam bookings. When not working at Family Dental Care, Jessica teaches singing, and can often be found on the local stage performing.

Madara is originally from Latvia and she has been in dental industry for the past 9 years. She completed her oral health therapy course at La Trobe university with adult scope and is very passionate to provide treatment to anyone no matter of their age and/or background. Madara is always open to discuss anyones concerns of their oral health.

Her part at Geelong Family Dental care involves putting patients at ease in the dental setting and provide treatment to patient with minimally invasive approach. She believes less is more and providing education for patients for their oral health is what will help save their teeth in the long run and help reduce any risks in the future. She is more than happy to see new patients and also existing patients for the routine check up and clean.

Madara likes to continuously improve and educate herself on different aspects of dentistry, starting from paediatric treatments all the way to orthodontics. She has also worked as a volunteer for Dental Hygiene Association and promoting oral health to refugees. She has had experience in public and privet sector of dentistry. Madara is also a member of Dental Hygiene Association (DHAA) and Australian Dental Oral Health Therapy Association (ADOHTA).

Her secret to good oral health is good maintenance at home and regular visits to the dental clinic. Just by routine home care, it is a big step to improve quality of life.

On her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and dog Hugo, reading books and making some crochet toys for kids.

David has proved exceedingly popular with our older clientele, they appreciate his wealth of knowledge, avid discussions, and approachable, gentle nature.

David McCorkell

Dr. David McCorkell trained at the University of Queensland and after years of owning his own successful practice in Queensland made the move down to Geelong, to be closer to his children, and many grandchildren.

David is a firm believer in adopting a preventative approach to Dentistry, his years of experience and expertise make him an invaluable part of our team here at Family Dental Care. David is a very patient, friendly Dentist who delivers a very tailored and considerate approach to all his clientele. David listens to his patients requests and combines those requests with the very latest techniques available, enabling him to deliver high quality, innovative Dentistry, with a more personal approach. David is constantly refreshing his wealth of knowledge, attending courses, or reading up on the latest Dental techniques. In fact, David can often be seen watching seminars, and case studies between patients; that is, of course, when is not indulging in his other passion, vintage trains and trams.
